This unique piece by Paul Skellett is an attempt to articulate the concept of psychological hostage taking, with the weaponisation of happiness and the crucifixion of innocence.

For example, you are made to feel like a bad parent if you don't take your children to the 'land of the mouse'. The TV ads say you can do it. The characters of such innocent joy are 'pimped out', seducing the fragile minds with a promise of joy whilst their parents are having their money and credit, torn from their fragile accounts. The marketing manager smiles as he reads the stats for the latest TV ad and mutters to himself, 'Forgive me, I no exactly what I do."

The painting is acrylic painted on board.

Size: 72"H x 48"W (excluding the hands and feet)
